GOHBA CELEBRATES 75 YEARS

In 2026, the Greater Ottawa Home Builders’ Association marks 75 years of representing and advancing Ottawa’s residential construction industry. Since its founding in 1951, GOHBA has served as a trusted voice for builders, developers, renovators, and industry partners—supporting growth, collaboration, and professionalism across the housing sector.

This milestone is an opportunity to recognize the Association’s enduring role in shaping Ottawa’s built environment, while continuing to focus on the future of housing in our region.

75 Years of Impact

For more than seven decades, GOHBA has worked alongside industry leaders, government, and community partners to strengthen Ottawa’s homebuilding sector. Through advocacy, education, recognition programs, and industry collaboration, the Association has helped establish professional standards, supported business growth, and contributed to the development of vibrant communities across the region.

The 75th anniversary reflects the collective efforts of members, volunteers, staff, and partners whose leadership and commitment have guided the Association through evolving market conditions, regulatory change, and shifting housing needs.
