A beautiful facelift

A beautiful facelift

You might want to see the dramatic changes that happened in a home renovated by ARTium Design Build. You can visit the home yourself on Oct. 15 from 10 am to 4 pm, during the Reno Tour.

The third annual Reno Tour, hosted by the Greater Ottawa Home Builders Association Renovators’ Council and the Ottawa RenoMark® program, is a true insider’s view of the results of beautiful award-worthy renovations.

This year, seven renovators and homeowners have agreed to open their doors to the public in order to show you their stunning projects. Proceeds from sales of tickets go to Habitat for Humanity Greater Ottawa.

In this home, ARTium Design Build restructured the second floor, allowing all the walls on the main floor to be removed, the kitchen to be relocated, a powder room to be added, and natural light to flow through the space from front to back.

ARTium gave the existing steel staircase a facelift by widening it and adding new reclaimed birch treads and stainless steel rods to the ceiling – creating a dramatic focal point in the space.

The frosted glass panel at the front entry provides privacy and a division of space, without sacrificing the passage of light.

Clean front kitchen cabinetry, a beautifully linear layout, and waterfall details on the quartz countertops connect the kitchen to the adjacent spaces while working with the narrow scale of the home.

The transformation is a clean, bright backdrop for art and entertaining alike.
